We are focusing on innovating green materials and advanced technologies to address emerging environmental concerns by lowering water treatment costs and improving operation practicality.
Currently, four research topics are conducted in the YeEnvLab:
(1) Development of nanozyme-based catalytic systems and functional hydrogel adsorbents for the degradation and removal of ultrashort- and short-chain PFAS.
(2) Prediction and quantification of PFAS release from municipal solid waste to assess environmental impacts.
(3) Evaluation of PFAS toxicity in agriculture and investigation of its potential role in breast cancer development and treatment.
(4) Investigation of PFAS occurrence, distribution, and historical trends in coastal sediments of Long Island Sound.
