Ye Environmental Laboratory (YeEvnLab) is in the Chemistry Department at Lehman College, the City University of New York.
I am interested in the research about
(1) synthesizing environmentally responsive molecularly imprinted hydrogel (MIH) composites for enhanced selective removal of PFAS in water;
(2) nanozyme approaches development for PFAS and other POPs degradation;
(3) 3D printed filtering membrane with enhanced anti-biofuel for drinking water treatment.
Ph.D. students can join my lab by applying for the Chemistry Ph.D. program (https://www.gc.cuny.edu/chemistry) and Biochemistry Ph.D. program(https://www.gc.cuny.edu/biochemistry) in the fall. The application deadline is December 30th every year. If you are strongly interested in these topics, please contact me through email ( yuemei.ye@lehman.cuny.edu) and apply for the programs.
Lab Technicians are searched to join to facilitate finishing research projects in Dr. Ye's lab. Please email Dr. Ye your resume if you are strongly intrested in the work.
Undergraduate students are welcome to join my group working by attending Lehman College Chemical Investigation classes (CHE 391 or CHE 491) to work on PFAS characterization, persistent organic pollutant remediation from water, as well as studying the sources of volatile PFAS in air contamination
International visiting scholars are welcomed to work in Dr. Ye's lab. Feel free to reach out via email to explore potential engagements.
